Skydive Belize

Skydive Belize has been hosting tandem skydives and international events since 2005. As the pioneers in Belize with this exciting sport, Skydive Belize is now offering tandem skydives weekly from December to April in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye.

We fly a Cessna 182, set up exclusively for skydiving and maintained to the highest standards. Our staff consists of a highly trained pilot commercially licensed in the USA and two very experienced instructors that are rated through the United States Parachute Association. We use state of the art skydiving equipment that is known in the industry to be the best.

Skydive Belize is located at Caribbean Villas Hotel, right on the beach, just south of town.

This includes everything for your safety and the SCUBA package.
It is the same price if you snorkel.

We need at least a one week notice for the Blue Hole tandems as it requires a large amount of logistics.

Our jumps are all conducted on Ambergris Caye unless you would like to upgrade for the jump of a lifetime! Yes, we do offer tandem skydives over and in to the Blue Hole.

The Great Blue Hole is a World Heritage Site about 50 miles from Ambergris Caye. We skydive over the Blue Hole and do a water landing. We then board the dive boat, don SCUBA gear and dive it to about 130 feet. After the dive we head to Half Moon Caye for lunch and then an additional SCUBA dive. There is NO OTHER SKYDIVE like this in the world. Skydive Belize is the only company in the world that offers this service. It is the greatest adventure on earth!

Can anyone make a tandem skydive? Is there an age and any weight restrictions?
You must be in good physical condition and under 230lbs. You must be over 18 years old.

Can I skydive after a SCUBA dive?

But you can skydive and then SCUBA dive with no problem.

Can I drink alcohol before I jump?

What should I wear?
Comfy clothing and closed toed shoes. Flip flops tend to fly off at 120 mph!

Can I get pictures and video?
Yes. If it isn't on social media, it didn't happen, right!
You may not wear your own Go Pro as it is a safety hazard.

Do I need a reservation?
It is recommended for regular tandem skydives over the island. You absolutely need at least a week notice to jump the Blue Hole.

The question we ALWAYS get. Why is it so expensive to jump into the Blue Hole?
The Blue Hole jump is unlike anything anyone offers in the world. It is about a 40 minute airplane ride out to the Blue Hole. There is no land nearby to set down on under canopy, so it is a water landing. It is an all day adventure after the jump with SCUBA dives and lunch on Half Moon Caye, one of the prettiest islands in the world. Our tandem gear needs to be completely taken apart after each Blue Hole jump and washed out, dried and repacked. This is a two day process.

How many people can jump at one time?
Our Cessna 182 holds four people. That means we can take two tandem students up at a time.

Can I breath when jumping?

Does it get cold?
Sometimes, even here in the Caribbean, it can get a little chilly at altitude. But usually the weather is amazing at altitude and shorts and a t-shirt are fine.

How fast do we fall?
About 120mph!

How high do we jump from?
10,000 feet, it's high!

What happens if the main parachute doesn't work?
Our gear is the most modern, safest equipment used in the industry. We keep it very well maintained, because we jump it almost every day. If there is a malfunction, all of our gear has a reserve parachute. There is also an automatic activation device on the reserve parachute. We are always happy to show you how the equipment works before your jump.

How long does it take?
Plan at least two hours out of your day to do a jump over the island. The Blue Hole jumps are an all day adventure, leaving about 8;30 am and returning about 6 pm.

What is the training like?
Our experienced instructors will discuss all aspects of the jump, including aircraft safety, exit, free fall and landing. It takes about 15 minutes.

When do you jump?
We schedule the jumps on good weather days. We want you to have the best experience possible. We do not jump in rainy or windy conditions.

Can my friends watch from the ground?
Yes! There are a couple of small bars and restaurants right next to our landing area where they can watch in comfort.

How long does the jump last?
Free fall lasts about 35-40 seconds. The parachute ride is about 5 or 6 minutes of serenity.

Is it customary to tip your instructor?
That is entirely up to you. Of course he did just take you on the coolest thing you have ever done in your life.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We also accept Belize or US dollars.

If I love it (And you will!), can I get certified to be a licensed skydiver in my hometown?
Wherever you live in the world, we can direct you to a drop zone that conducts Accelerated Free Fall Training to get your license.

I am coming to Belize on a cruise ship and would like to make a jump. How do I do it?
We are located at Caribbean Villas Hotel on Ambergris Caye. It is a short plane ride out to the resort from Belize City. e-mail us and we will set up your entire itinerary.
